New Buildings...

Our new build projects involve anything from buildings containing 40-50 flats to single family homes. Our clients are usually experienced developers, who often ask for a "design and build" package, or occasionally private home-owners, who require a full architectural service. Project values on projects of this nature range from £500k to £5M. Click on the text above to see examples of our work.

We were appointed to amend and improve upon an existing planning permission at this site. The project drew its inspiration from the "sawtooth roof" profiles used on many redundant mills in the area. Our services included amending the existing planning permission, and providing "building regulations" drawings and specifications for the developer client, who then constructed the project on a "design and build" basis.
Project 2Bendall Mews House

£2.0M

December 2004 - November 2006

Our clients purchased this vacant lot site in Central London of approximately 5m wide x 12m deep. We were appointed to design, obtain planning permission and oversee construction for a new, 4 bedroom single family home. Thr project involved a complex basement extension, underpinning, and a new steel structure inserted between two other properties.
Project 3Freeland House

Our clients purchased this ex-hotel site in West London in 2004. The overall site was approximately 15m wide x 25m deep. We were appointed to design, obtain planning permission and oversee construction for converstion of the hotel to 9no. 2 bed flats. The project involved a complex basement extension, ground floor extension, underpinning, and a new roof.
Project 4Hoxton Flats

Situated on a backlands site in Central London, we were appointed by the owners to design a building incorporating a mix of residential units from one to three bedroom flats. The site itself was bounded by 3 to 4 story structures on all sides, therefore creating our own inner "courtyard" was critical to retaining some quality of light and space within the development.
Project 5Brixton Road Flats

London

£1.0M

October 2006 - March 2007

Our developer client purchased this derelict and structurally unsound property with the idea to demolish and build a new, modern structure. Our proposals for the site kept the same building footprint and overall heights as the previous structure but introduced 7no. flats in a basement and mansard level roof. The development of the basement required extensive research into lighting levels and a flood risk assessment.
Project 6Keswick Park House

Suffolk

£1.2M

February 2006 - December 2006

We obtained permission for the demolition of a single story bungalow on greenbelt land, and reconstruction of a new, modern family home wtih an extensive basement. Our services included planning and building regulations works, with the owner (an experienced developer) carrying out construction on a "design and build" basis.
